Indian River Outfitters Will Be Back Soon!

We are currently restructuring the website to offer you the best information about Flats Fishing on the Indian River! Check back soon for our new rebuilt site!

Indian River Outfitters was founded on the basis of providing its customers with information and services to encourage the sport of angling commonly known as "Flats Fishing", promote recreational activities and educational interests along the Indian River Lagoon, deemed America's most diverse estuary system.

The Indian River Lagoon has climate ranges from temperate to sub-tropical and comprises three major water bodies — the Mosquito Lagoon, Banana River, and Indian River. This estuary system extends 156 miles north and south between Ponce Inlet in the New Smyrna Beach area of Volusia County and Jupiter Inlet in northern Palm Beach County, commonly known as Florida's Space Coast and Treasure Coast.

The Indian River Lagoon consists of freshwater drainage and saltwater from a limited exchange with the ocean through five inlets, to create what is commonly referred to as 'brackish water'. The Indian River Lagoon's width ranges from one-half mile to five miles and the average depth is three feet or less. Therefore, approximately ninety percent of the Indian River Lagoon is considered as "Flats" with approximately 250,000 anglers participating in "Flats Fishing".

Indian River Outfitters has created vibrantly illustrated T-Shirts that reflect the lifestyles of the fishermen and recreationalists who wear them. We also offer a line of accessories and headwear designed to enhance your Floridian lifestyle.
